stripey-stork300.png
Stripey Stork // Reigate

Our local baby bank based in Reigate has been helping vulnerable families since 2013 across Surrey and sometimes beyond. They collect new and pre-loved items for babies and children (equipment, clothes, furniture and toys) and distribute them, via a network of support services, to families in need. They believe that every child deserves the same start in life and support this notion by sharing items families have outgrown. There are lots of ways to get involved, from donating items (see monthly wish list on their website), to fundraising and volunteering.

Since 2013 we've offered practical solutions and emotional support through our year-round daily Drop-In, Real Meal every Sunday, and the Winter Night Shelter between December and March. Alongside the provision of meals, foodbank vouchers and clothing, we provide direct support to our clients responding to their specific needs regardless of how complex their situation.

We assist in finding housing and employment, and we work closely with statutory organisations and partnership agencies to improve the quality of life for our guests. thechildrenstrust300.png
The Children’s Trust // Reigate

Every year 40,000 children in the UK are left with a brain injury as a result of an accident or illness and many have to live with ongoing, long-term difficulties. The Children’s Trust gives children and young people with brain injury and neurodisability the opportunity to live the best life possible, by providing specialist rehabilitation, education and community services across the UK.

The Children’s Trust, based in Tadworth Surrey, will be launching the ‘Shine a Light’ exhibition later this year. The exhibition will highlight key milestones in every child’s journey, showing how different every journey can be following a brain injury. The photos, submitted by the young people the charity has supported throughout their 37-year history, will be shown in an online gallery, alongside a written account detailing their story. The Children’s Trust hopes to show them at an event once guidelines permit.

fbs300.png
Brooklands School // Reigate

Brooklands School in Reigate is a first-class specialist school for children aged 2-11 with a range of physical and developmental disabilities, including autism.

The Friends of Brooklands School (FOBS) is the PTA and a registered charity (No. 255861). Our mission is to enhance the education of the children at Brooklands by funding extra resources and specialist equipment to help our children reach their full potential.

Although Brooklands is a state school, we do not receive funding from the local authority for these essential 'added extras' – we are entirely reliant on donations, fundraising within our school community, and charitable trusts and foundations. As a relatively small school, this is always a demanding task.
